Clean – Gems that are free from inclusions under 10x loupe.

Almost Loupe Clean – Gems that are almost clean with very slightly inclusions under 10x loupe.

Eye Clean – Gems that are clean to the naked eye,  slightly minor inclusions to be seen under 10x loupe.

VVSI (very slight inclusions) - Very very slightly minor inclusions can be seen to naked eyes but will not diminish the brilliance and beauty of the gem when set.

VSI (very slight inclusions) - Very slightly minor inclusions can be seen to naked eyes but will not diminish the brilliance and beauty of the gem when set.

SI (very slight inclusions) - gems have some inclusions visible to the naked eye but not to the extent of affecting the brilliance of the gem.

I - These gems have some larger and/or many minor inclusions that somewhat diminish the brilliance of the gem.

Transparent - Transparent gems allow light to pass through them without diffusing (scattering) the light.

Translucent - Translucent gems allow light to pass through them, but the light is somewhat diffused (scattered).
